Laboratory of crystal physics

Primary research interests: - studying of features of a structure of real crystals at the atomic level and their structural changes at mechanical and radiation influence by methods of field microscopy and mathematical modeling. Investigation of the processes of deformation and destruction of the micro-, nano- and pico-size objects.

Laboratory history.

The laboratory was created by I.V. Obreimov in 1928 academician AS USSA. A.F. Prihot’ko (Academician of AS UkrSSR), L.F. Vereschagin (Academician of АS of the USSR), I.M. Nekljudov (Academician of NАS of Ukraine), well known doctors of science V.S. Gorsky, A.I. Brilliantov, V.I. Startsev, B.J. Pines, I.A. Gindin worked at various times in the laboratory.

The laboratory was headed the Professor, DSc (Phys.–Math.) R.I. Garber since 1938 till 1979. PhD (Phys.–Math.) P.A. Bereznjak managed the laboratory from 1979 till 2005. DSc (Phys.–Math.) V.A. Ksenofontov is a head of the Laboratoty since 2006 till present time.
