MAIN SCIENTIFIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE LABORATORY

  • Beryllium plastic at room temperature was obtained;

  • Super plastic beryllium was obtained; mechanisms of its super plastic flow were studied;

  • charts of mechanisms of plastic deformation of materials are plotted;

  • nature and thermal activation mechanisms of plastic flow of beryllium, zirconium and magnesium are studied;

  • new mechanisms of plastic flow are detected – embedded zones and twins of tetrahedral shape are detected;

  • baro plastic effect at superplasticity is revealed;

  • fracture toughness  and impact strength of new materials are studied;

  • acoustic emission during plastic flow and fracture of metals and alloys is studied;

  • magnesium materials with increased strength and plasticity, such as alloy WE-43, are produced;

  • technology of production of capillary tubes with high strength and plasticity is developed;

  • new instruments for oncology and cardiology are produced of ultra fine-grained materials with increased strength and plasticity;

  • hard magnetic materials on the base of compound Nd2Fe14B with record magnetic characteristics are obtained;

  • constructions of magnetic systems for high-efficiency separation of the initial metallurgical raw are developed.
