GOALS AND TASKS OF THE LABORATORY:

  • Investigation of physical origin of plastic flow and failure of light metals and alloys;

  • Development of new methods of plasticization of metals and alloys used in nuclear technique and medicine;

  • Development of new methods of intense deformation of materials;

  • Development of new materials with high strength and plasticity (beryllium, magnesium and others);

  • Study of interaction of mechanical characteristics and structural factors;

  • Development of new methods of study of plastic deformation and failure of metals and alloys including acoustic emission, fracture toughness, impact strength with the separation of work of deformation and work of fracture;

  • Development of new hard magnetic materials;

  • Production and investigation of materials for accumulation of hydrogen.
