The coatings prodused by our method are characterized with high
Ádhesion and hardness (îV 1800 … 8000). They have a high
resistance to frictional wear, influence of air atmosphere and
corrosive medium, resistance to erosion under influence of
cavitation, steam-droplet, gas and dust flows. | |

The first industrial plants for depositing of wear resistant coating by the vacuum-arc method have been developed in the NSC KIPT. The created here technology of hardening of cutting tools by deposition of TiN layers were handed over to the USA by the license agreement in 1980. The new technology has received wide circulation in all industrially-developed countries of the world. | |
