Department of Pure Metals, Physics of Metals and Technology and New Materials  

     HISTORY OF DEPARTMENT FOUNDATION

 Department 11-00 was founded in 1974 on the base of department VM (vacuum metallurgy) V.E.Ivanov.

Founders of vacuum metallurgy were K.D.Sinelnikov and V.E.Ivanov.

      During a long time the department was headed by famous scientist metal physicist, academician of NAS of Ukraine Vladimir Michaylovich Azhazha.

    Detailed history of the department formation and some facts of development of vacuum metallurgy in NSC KIPT is presented here.
